A Mountain Stay In Comfort The Bassett’s Station Motel is open year round.  It is located at the  intersection of  Scenic Byway 49 and Gold Lake Road, providing easy access to the Yuba River and the Lakes Basin Recreational Area. In the summer the Lakes Basin Recreational Area is a favorite location for hiking, four-wheeling, biking, fishing, boating, swimming and camping.  In winter, we have easy access for snowmobiling, snow shoeing,  and cross country skiing. The Lakes Basin snowmobile staging area is right outside our front door, providing hundreds of miles of groomed trails.   Our comfortable rooms will be a welcome haven at  the end of the day.   All motel rooms have satellite TV and are   housekeeping units with completely furnished  kitchens to accommodate extended stays. The grounds include a lawn  area, access to Howard Creek and easy access to the Yuba River across the street.  Also, there is the convenience of the Bassett’s Station Café, Country Store, Gas and Propane service. Have a larger group?  Rent the entire motel and have a the entire place to yourselves.
